Mairi and Ren were so welcoming. The accommodation (we stayed in the smaller gite)was generous (we are a family of five with children aged 17,15 and 12), comfortable and immaculate. The setting is truly amazing, lovely space to play and run around, visit the woods and stream, plenty to do for older children, including volleyball, table tennis and pool and helping with bbq The pool area is fantastic situated in a very sunny spot but there are plenty of sun umbrellas and trees around to find shade, relax and read. It's an ideal place to have fun together. We also enjoyed the company of the cockerel cornflakes and his hens, two goats and nightly serenade from the owl. The night sky was beautiful - no light pollution here. We hope to return thanks for a lovely holiday (August 2016)

Ren and Mairi were very welcoming and on hand with vital information about the local area. The Gite was amazingly clean and spacious providing everything that we needed. The pool is shared with the Gite next door but there was enough room for everybody, and the children had lots of space to be noisy and run around exploring safely. There are many kilometres of very clearly marked bike trails on the doorstep which we found and enjoyed. All in all a very good holiday.

Mairi and Ren were fantastic hosts who were very welcoming and always happy to help. The gite is set in beautiful grounds and while quiet and secluded, you are very close to many local villages and towns with lots of things to do. We also had our disabled father with us on holiday and the gite was also perfect for this as there is a ground floor bedroom and shower room. Our young children really enjoyed the pool, which has an alarm for extra piece of mind and the large balcony was a great place to eat breakfast or an evening meal while enjoying the wonderful views. One of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in and we would highly recommend.

Can't recommend this enough. Mairi, Ren & Rhona are great hosts who live on site and are around for any help and advise. You can just relax here and enjoy rural France and there are also plenty of places to visit within an hours drive if required. Property was really clean and photos of the gardens etc do not give it justice. My 3 children all loved the swimming pool, ping pong and pool tables. Brantone is worth a visit as this is known and the Venice of the Dordogne region. Also Oradour-Sur-Glane is about an hour away and a great chilling reminder of the horrors of the 2nd world war.

Clean, spacious and functional gite set in wonderful grounds. Very quiet and peaceful location which is perfect if you want to relax. Great places to visit nearby or if you want to stay 'home' relax by the shared pool with a book... Will definitely be returning!! Thank you Ren and Mairi x

A peaceful and relaxing holiday

L'abre Magnolia is situated in a beautiful and rural part of France. The property is in excellent condition and provided the four of us with ample space as it can accommodate upto eight people. The gite has a fully equipped kitchen which includes a cooker with oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a bedroom on the ground floor, ideal for less mobile people, together with a toilet and shower room. Upstairs there is a large living area with tv and dvd player, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. Both bedrooms are of a good size especially the double bedroom which has an ensuite with bath, toilet and shower. There is access from the double bedroom to a balcony, with table and chars, which is a great place to sit and watch the wonderful sunsets that occur almost daily. The large garden area offer a swimming pool, which is alarmed, a number of tables and chairs, a BBQ, table tennis table and pool table. The swimming pool is shared with the occupants of the adjoining gite and there are a dozen sunbeds. The owners, Ren & Mairi were so welcoming and one of them always seemed to be around if you needed advice or assistance. Mairi created an English library some time ago , which is situated in the garden, and she was happy for us to borrow our holiday reading. The owner's chickens and goats were a source of entertainment for us and our children. The lake at St Estephe is a lovely place to spend some time. It has a sandy beach, shallow water for swimming and also offered free canoeing during our stay. Parking at the lake is free. We visited Oradour-sur-Glane which is a historical World War 2 site and well worth a visit. Local amenities, such as an Internarche and local shops, can be found in nearby Piegut Pluviers. Overall, this property would suit those looking for a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. The surrounding countryside is dominated by forest and is very beautiful.

We stayed here for a week in September and what a great week we had, the Gite itself has everything you could need and is fitted out to a very high spec. It is very clean and all the facilities are "top notch" The best bit is the gardens and surrounding areas, it is so quite and peaceful and is difficult to tear your self away from the place. Outside, if you are travelling with a family is a lovely swimming pool and plenty of room for games and fun. Wildlife and animals are abundant and at night the sky is so bright with stars. Mairi and Ren are wonderful people and work hard to make your stay a pleasure. They are always on hand for a chat and help with everything you need. We hope to return one day and would have no hesitation recommending La Maison de Rebeyrat. Thank you Mairi and Ren for a wonderful week and it was a pleasure to meet your parents and family.
